Our school meals provide whole grains, fruits, and vegetables; nonfat/low-fat milk; and less salty and fatty foods.
Students are REQUIRED to take a fruit or vegetable at lunch, along with at least two other components (Protein, Grain, Milk). You can help them be successful by reinforcing the importance of eating fruits and vegetables at mealtimes.
Foods and beverages served at schools meet state and federal requirements, and our district Wellness Policies. Students have access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet their health and nutrition needs.
SCVSFSA is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits as an important lifeskill. SCVSFSA serves over 11,500 lunches & 4,000 breakfasts daily at 38 school sites.
