School Day Cafe was created by our school districts to provide nutritious meals to students in Santa Clarita. Our school districts are: Castaic USD, Newhall SD, Saugus USD, & Sulphur Springs USD.

School Day Cafe Governing Board Members are: Sheri Staszewski, Newhall SD; Nick Heinlein, Saugus USD; Linette Hodson, Castaic USD;  & Dr. Catherine Kawaguchi, Sulphur Springs USD. School Day Cafe is a program of Santa Clarita Valley School Food Services Agency. (Board Policies, Administration Regulations and Bylaws and Board Packets)

Our meals provide lean protein, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nonfat/low-fat milk; and less salty and fatty foods. Students are required to take a fruit or vegetable, along with at least two other components (Protein, Grain, Milk). 

Foods and beverages served at schools meet state and federal requirements, and our district Wellness Policies.

We are a team of food and nutrition professionals dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn.
We serve over 11,500 lunches & 4,000 breakfasts daily at 38 school sites.

and apply for Free or Reduced Priced meals using PaySchools Central!

You will need the STUDENT ID# when registering, request it by
clicking here*.

*Please note that ID# requests in the summer won't be processed until early August.
